Lucretia Thomas

Funeral services for Lucretia Kay "LU" Thomas, 58 of Alvarado, Texas will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel.  

Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne with Carl Thomas, Shannon Thomas, Shawn Thomas, Anthony Goeglein, Christian Jr., Robert Martin, and Wayne Thomas serving as pallbearers.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Rosser Funeral Home.

LU was born June 16, 1964 and departed this world and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 14, 2023.

She loved her dogs, as they protected her even in her final moments. LU enjoyed being a servant to anyone in need. She gave of herself without putting herself before anyone. LU unbelievably enjoyed giving Wayne a hard time but wouldn't pass up the opportunity to sit and spend time with him and telling him how much she loved him. She enjoyed being outside and soaking up the sun. She never passed an opportunity to celebrate at a birthday party with her best friend and daughter Ashley. Many times you could pull up in the drive way and hear her jamming out to some good music.

LU knew her God and displayed it in the way she lived her life, as a servant to those in her life. She loved having crosses and angels all around her, now she will enjoy those to the fullest.

If she could say one last thing it would probably be for Wayne to get up and go to work and "don't forget, I love you."

LU was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce and father, Jimmy.

She is survived by her husband of 23 wonderful years, Conny Wayne Thomas; her best friend and daughter, Ashley Lourie Patterson and husband, Anthony Goeglein; and sisters, Melissa and Tooter, both of Texas.

LU is also survived by five wonderful grandchildren, Montana, CJ, Becca, August, and Morgan, who loved their Nana as she loved them, with all their heart. She enjoyed spending time with them and doting over them, as she thought a Nana should do.
