Funeral services for Maria de la Luz Madrid, 85, of Cleburne, Texas will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2026, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Keene Memorial Park with Edward Quiroz, Jazz Tarin, Patrick Tarin, Jordan Marin, Christian Henline, and Ricardo Madrid, Jr. serving as pallbearers.

Maria de la Luz Madrid, born September 5, 1941, in Hidalgo de Parral, Chihuahua, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to her family.

She married Ricardo Madrid on October 5, 1960, and together they shared more than 65 years of marriage, raised six children, and built a beautiful family. Maria was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother known as Mami Luz.

Maria will be remembered for her tender heart, generous spirit, humor, strength, and unwavering love for God. Though her memory faded in her final years, the Word of God remained engraved in her heart. The one person whose name she never forgot was her beloved husband, Ricardo.

She leaves behind her six children and generations of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with many loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

Her family takes comfort in the hope she held throughout her life: that Jesus will return with a shout, and the dead in Christ shall rise.
