Obituary

Funeral services for Marjorie Euline Yeates, 88, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 7, 2026, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Andrew Anobile officiating. A private family burial will be held.

The family will receive visitors from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.

Marjorie passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, in Burleson, Texas. She was born in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on December 31, 1937, the daughter of Fannie Morea (Taylor) and Elmer Cook.

As a nurse, Marjorie was very caring and nurturing. She was a good Christian woman who believed in Jesus. Marjorie was a member of the Alvarado Seventh-day Adventist Church and also attended the Burleson Seventh-day Adventist Church of which she was a charter member, and New Hope Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Carol B. Dickson; second husband, Lester W. Gilpen; third husband, John S. "Jay" Yeates; daughter, Carolyn Euline Dickson; brothers, Delbert Cook, Delmer Cook, and Earnest Cook; sisters, Elva, Ethel Cochran, Nina Lapp, and Ora Lee Deal.

Marjorie is survived by her son, George Robert "Bobby" Dickson of Burleson; daughters, Jamie Cross of Burleson and Carla Kline of East Texas; sister, Flora Pearl Smith and husband, Don, of Arkansas; four grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
