Obituary for Ruth Ellen Massengale (Prince)
Graveside services for Ruth Ellen (Prince) Massengale, 87, of Cleburne, Texas, formerly of Lamesa, Texas will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Rosehill Cemetery. Mr. Mark Hackett will officiate.
Ruth passed way Sunday, July 8, 2018 in Cleburne. She was born September 14, 1930 in Clifton, Texas the daughter of Titus and Jewell (Marchbanks) Prince.
Ruth and J. W. Massengale were married October 2, 1948 in Seguin, Texas. She worked at General Telephone Company for many years and was a member of the Lamesa Church of Christ.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 67 years, J. W. Massengale.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Massengale) Banton and husband Mark, of Cleburne; brother, Rubin Prince of Dallas, Texas; sister, Leah Jones and husband, Frank, of Snowflake, Arizona; grandchildren, Josh Moore and wife, Blanca, Jayci (Moore) and Terrell Lawson, Jason Banton, Mandi (Banton) and James Fielder and Melissa (Banton) and Randy Miles; and 10 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Slade, Rylan, Aynsli, Wesley, Adrienne, Kaitlyn, Nolan, Anastyn and Jaxon.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Shaw House for their kind attention and loving care.
