Dorothy Marie McCullars
Shalimar, FL—Funeral services for Dorothy Marie McCullars, 72, of Shalimar, Florida, formerly of Fort Worth, Texas, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Father Sergio Rizo officiating. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mrs. McCullars passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 in Ft Walton Beach, Fla. She was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on Nov. 9, 1940 to Anna Marie (Strachota) and Albert Suva.
Dorothy was a registered nurse and served as a hospice volunteer for Vitas Hospice. She loved travelling and gardening, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in horticulture.
She was president of AFSA Air Force Sergeants Association (Ladies Auxiliary) of Bob Hope Village in Shalimar, Fla. Dorothy was of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Ralph McCullars.
Dorothy McCullars is survived by her sons, Robert McCullars and wife, Holly, of Grandview, Texas and son William McCullars of Salt Lake City, Utah; daughter, Sharon Dry and fiancé, Jeff Wolf, of Benbrook, Texas; sister, Betty Follett and husband, Rick, of Los Lunas, New Mexico; grandchildren, Danny Grant and wife, Kelly, Michelle Nowlin and husband, Billy, Justin McCullars, Brennan McCullars and wife, Ashley, Phillip McCullars, and Melinda Shelly and husband, Jacob; and 13 great grandchildren.
