Graveside services for John L. McGilvray, 93, of Brownfield, Texas will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville, Texas. Mr. Bo Shero will officiate.
There is no visitation scheduled.
A Cleburne, Texas resident for over 40 years, Mr. McGilvray passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 in Coleman, Texas. He was born in Mount Calm, Texas on December 24, 1926, the son of Mattie White (Goodloe) and Hamilton White McGilvray.
Mr. McGilvray served his country in the United States Navy and was retired from Bell Helicopter. He was a member of Granbury Street Church of Christ in Cleburne.
Mr. McGilvray was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol; and brothers, Clayton, Bob, and Morris.
He is survived by his son, Bryan McGilvray and wife, Wendy, of Coleman; daughter, Johnna Shero and husband, Bo, of Brownfield; sister, Mattie Ruth Wilkerson, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
