Karyn Menzies (Haga)

Karyn Haga Menzies, a resident of Cleburne, Texas since 1979, passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

Karyn was born in Bristol, Virginia on April 11, 1954, the daughter of Earl Darce Haga and Colette Martry Haga Earnest.
After graduating from Sunset High School in Dallas, Texas, she went to Mountain View Jr. College and then to dental hygienist school and worked as a dental assistant from 1971-1977 in Dallas.
A loving mother, Karyn raised her daughter Bryce and was incredibly proud of all her accomplishments. She was especially proud to watch her only daughter graduate with her Master’s in Business from Tarleton State University, start a career and then start a family with her wonderful husband, Jeremy. Karyn had a lifelong love of animals. In her twenties, she showed Tennessee Walkers. Karyn loved taking care of all of her animals including horses, dogs, cats, doves and the baby rabbits she would find, raise, and return to the wild. Most of all she loved her grandchildren.
Karyn was preceded in death by her parents; and nephew Alexander Meyerson.
She is survived by her daughter, Bryce Sirmons and husband, Jeremy; and grandchildren, Axl and Van Sirmons; sister, Hyla Martin and husband, Michael; brother, Gary Haga; and her nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the local charity of your choice.
