Graveside services for Edwin “Lewis” Meredith, Jr., 86, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2019 at Greenacres Memorial Park. The Rev. Stephen McCoy will officiate.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Lewis Meredith passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas and was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 22, 1932, the son of Ruby Delette (Hilderbrand) and Edwin Lewis Meredith.
He served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Lewis joined his father at Meredith Sales and Service and continued on with the family business. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cleburne.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his companion, Alice Roten.
Lewis is survived by his daughter, Terry Meredith and husband, Tommy Smith of Whitney, Texas; sons, Greg Meredith and wife, Jennifer, of Cleburne and Matt Meredith and wife, Susan, of Burleson, Texas; grandchildren, Amber Meek, Dustin Robertson and wife, Aimee, Justin Meredith and wife, Larissa, Bliss Ballew, Paige Meredith, Mackenzie Meredith, Jaylynn Meredith, Rusty Massey, Heather Wadsworth and husband, Austin, Amber Marsh and husband, Russ, and Holly Clary; great grandchildren, Shane, Bryce, Emily, Bailey, Blake, Kash, Vanessa, Hallie, Amelia, and Archer; and many other family members and friends.
