She was born September 16, 1932 in El Paso, Texas to Mildred (Hussmann) and Amos Brock. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, L.E. “Buddy” Magers of Cleburne, son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Lisa Magers, daughter and son-in-law Elaine and Bob Lewis, all of Cleburne, and son Brien Magers of Tyler; grandsons Jeremy Lewis and wife Jill, of Flower Mound, Aaron Lewis and wife Andrea, of Celina, Jesse Magers and wife Yazmin, of Grand Prairie, Taylor Magers and wife Luda, Mason Magers and Preston Magers, and their mother LeighAnn Magers, all of Tyler; granddaughter Joy (Magers) Cooke and husband Ryan, of Grand Prairie, ten great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Jeannie Brock of Scottsdale, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her son, Kyle Magers, and brother Amos Harrison Brock, Jr.

Most of her married life was spent as a housewife and homemaker, active in church work and PTA. In 1977 the Magers moved from El Paso to Cleburne, establishing a construction management company in which she served as the bookkeeper. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleburne.

Her talents were reflected in her skills as a seamstress and tailor and in a variety of handwork, from embroidery and cross stitch to painting. She will be remembered for her kindness, hospitality, patience, friendly smile--and her sparkling blue eyes. She was a faithful reader of God’s Word.

A family graveside service will be conducted at Rosehill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering at either First Baptist Church of Cleburne, 414 N. Main, Cleburne, TX 76033 or Field Street Baptist Church, 201 N. Field Street, Cleburne, TX 76033.
