Funeral services for William R. “Bill” Mitchell, 87, of Covington, Texas were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2016 at New Life Baptist Church in Covington. Rev. David Bristow and Rev Wayne McCoy will officiate.
Bill passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 in Covington, Texas. He was born May 24, 1928, the son of Zula (Smith) and Porter Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Bill is survived by his wife, Billie Mitchell of Covington; son, Tim Mitchell and wife Marilyn of Cleburne, Texas; daughters, Rhonda Farris and husband Scotty of Norman Oklahoma, Glenda Shepherd and husband Joe of Covington, and Brenda Queen of North Richland Hills, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
