A private family graveside service for William Cleveland (Billy) Moore, 91, will be conducted on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Greenacres Mausoleum. The Rev. Brian McClure will officiate. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Billy passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012 in Cleburne, Texas. He was born Dec. 22, 1920 in Grandview, Texas to Samuel David and Virgie Hazel (Long) Moore. Billy served his country in the United States Army. He married Virgie Ruth Dickey on Jan. 2, 1942 in Alvarado, Texas. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for over 40 years and was of the Baptist faith.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents; wife; four brothers; three sisters; and one granddaughter.
He is survived by his sons, Billy Jack Moore and wife Irean, Charles Moore and wife Gail, Randy Keith Moore and wife Belinda, Todd Moore and wife Vicki all of Cleburne, Dickey Joe Moore and wife Kim of Clovis, New Mexico; daughters, Ruth Collins, Connie Henry and husband Dave all of Rio Vista, Tamra Horton and husband Shot, Barbara Green and husband Franklin all of Cleburne; 38 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
