Murphy Fannin

Murphy Hillen Fannin, age 85, passed away peacefully at his home in Tolar, Texas, on October 8th, 2025. Born on March 14th, 1940, Murphy dedicated his life to God, to his family, and to his community.

Murphy was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Most of his life Murphy worked doing airplane mechanics and upholstery, but his true passions included fishing, golfing, watching sports, and spending time with his family. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.

Murphy is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 64 years, Donna; his children, Darren, Dana, David, and Debbie; his 11 grandchildren, Donna May, Wendy, Brandon, Cody, Nikki, Ashley, Reed, Colton, Lucas, Mariska, and Cheyne; his 10 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Aly, Madison, Wyatt, Addilyn, Murphy, Kieran, Avery, Maddox, and Preston; his great-great-grandchild, who is on the way; and his sister Carolyn.

A memorial service to honor Murphy's life will be held at 12pm on October 12th, 2025, following his 11am viewing, at Rosser Funeral Home, 1164 West Henderson Street in Cleburne, Texas, followed by his burial at Burleson Memorial Cemetery, 490 Memorial Plaza in Burleson, Texas.
