Funeral services for Narvel Ray Powell, 89, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 30, 2024 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Glover officiating. Interment will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park with Leyton Kent, Aydin Smith, Ryan Powell, Blayne Bankhead and Benito Rosa serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Blake Bankhead.

Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, January 29, 2024 at Rosser Funeral Home.

Narvel Ray Powell passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Cleburne. He was born August 11, 1934 in Cleburne to Louella (Lockett) and Leo Powell. He married Glenda Glenn on June 2, 1956 in Cleburne.

Narvel served in the United States Army and was retired from the Sante Fe Railroad. He was a longtime member of Field Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jessie Merle Powell.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 67 years, Glenda Powell of Cleburne; sons, Roger Powell of San Angelo and Ronny Powell of Cleburne; daughter, Melanie Howe of Cleburne; grandchildren, Holli, Blayne, Blake, Amanda, and Ryan; seven great grandchildren; sister, Martha Nell Richardson and husband, Jerry of Brownwood; and many other extended family and friends.
