Obituary

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Patti Marie Tidwell Berry, lovingly known as "Granna," who went home to be with the Lord on February 26, 2026, in Cleburne, Texas. She was 69 years old.

Born on September 12, 1956, in Cleburne, Texas, Patti was a lifelong resident of the community she cherished. She was a woman of unwavering strength, boundless generosity, and a heart that welcomed everyone. Her warmth could fill a room, and her laughter was a gift to all who knew her. On December 23, 1983, she married the love of her life, William "Bill" Berry. For 42 years, they built a life rooted in faith, love, laughter, and partnership. Whether taking short trips together, visiting casinos, watching cooking shows side by side, or preparing meals in the kitchen, they found joy in life's simple, shared moments.

Patti's greatest pride and purpose was her family. She was a devoted wife, an extraordinary mother, and the most loving "Granna." She poured her heart into her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, treasuring every sporting event, school function, and family gathering. She created memories that will be carried forward for generations. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, and many of her children's friends fondly remember her as a wonderful cook who always made sure no one left hungry. Though many knew her for her gentle spirit, those closest to her also knew she had a fierce loyalty - especially when it came to her beloved Texas Rangers. She was a devoted fan who cheered them on faithfully.

Patti is survived by her beloved husband, William "Bill" Berry; her children, Eric Gustafson; Jauna Leigh Gustafson Hall and husband Parker Hall; and William Taylor Berry and wife Danielle Berry. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Kylie Clanton, Carter Clanton, Tucker Berry, Quinn Berry, and Bentlee Roden; and her treasured great-grandchildren: Piper Clanton, Tripp Clanton, and Evelyn "Evie" Clanton. She is also survived by her sisters, Debbie Howington and husband Billy Howington, and Kathy Jo Stewart and husband Woody Stewart; along with three nephews, five nieces, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Joe Tidwell and Peggy Marie Coburn; her sister, Tammy Gail Findley; and her precious granddaughter, Holland Brynn Berry, whom we know welcomed her home with open arms.

A funeral service celebrating Patti's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Rosser Funeral Home, 1664 W. Henderson Street, Cleburne, Texas. Interment will follow at Peoria Cemetery in Peoria, Texas.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Rosser Funeral Home.

Patti's legacy is one of fierce love, steady faith, open doors, and a table that always had room for one more. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds comfort in knowing that her love will continue to guide them, steady them, and surround them always. She was deeply loved. She will be profoundly missed. And she will never be forgotten.

Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth, Texas at angie.gallaway@rmhfw.org
