Obituary

Rebecca Jane Stanley

"And the master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant... Come and share your master's happiness!'"

-Matthew 25:21

With peace in her heart and profound love for her family and friends, Rebecca Jane Stanley, born June 30, 1940, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 31, 2026. She was born in Rosenberg, and lived the majority of her adult life in Lake Worth, Joshua, and Cleburne.

While we feel our own earthly grief for this loss, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 offers us a statement of faith and reassurance that her body now rests, her soul is with God, and an awakening-the resurrection-is yet to come.

It tells us:

"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him."

Rebecca is survived by her sons, Mark (Shawna), and Jeremy (Stephanie); four loving grandchildren: Nikki (Stephen), Lauren, Shelby, and Daniel; and two of her seven siblings, David (Sharon), and Gayle (AE). She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Lenora Warren; siblings, E.J., Lila, Dale, Mike, and Steve; her infant son, Timothy; and her husband, Arlie Stanley.

Throughout her life, Rebecca was a member of Azle First Assembly and Bethel Temple churches.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness..."

-2 Timothy 4:7-8

Rebecca's family deeply appreciates the love, prayers, and support shown during this time, and offers their heartfelt gratitude to the care team of Legacy Oaks Senior Living.
