Funeral services for Richard Ray Sowers, 71, of Burleson, Texas will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 12, 2024 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Ron Suarez officiating. Burial will follow in Kimball Bend Cemetery in Bosque County. Serving as pallbearers will be Casey Sowers, Colton Napoleon, John Napoleon, Jr., Jon Schooley, Tyler Nesselrode, and Shyloh Godfrey.

Mr. Sowers passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024 in Burleson. He was born February 13, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas to Charles Raymond and Imojean (Sikes) Sowers.

Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Married to his wife, Donna for 42 years before her passing in 2018. He loved all three of his daughters, Dawn, Shannon and Robyn. He especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. For most of his life Richard was a truck driver. He was a member of the Moslah Shriners from May of 1995 to 2007, becoming a Master Mason at the Mansfield No.313 Blue Lodge.

Survivors include his daughters, Dawn Schooley and husband Jon, Shannon Ledesma and husband, Cody, and Robyn Sowers; grandchildren, Casey Sowers, Layle Napoleon, Shyloh Godfrey, Colton Napoleon, John Napoleon, Jr., Cagan Ledesma and Jaxon Ledesma; great grandchildren, Trinity Morgan, Carter Morgan, and Hayze Napoleon; sisters, Louann Arnold and husband Stan and Shirley Lindsey; niece, Amy Sandoval; nephew, Benny Lindsey; several other extended family and friends.
