Joshua—Funeral services for Victor Wayne Richardson, 77, of Joshua, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2011, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Clements officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2011, at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Harold Richardson, David Decker, Glenn Richardson, Todd Richardson, Rusty Richardson, and Garrett Shamblin.
Wayne Richardson passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Comanche, Okla. on July 10, 1934, the son of Myrtle (Etier) and R. Paul Richardson. Wayne married Evelyn V. Decker on June 24, 1955 in Godley, Texas.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Wayne retired as a superintendent with Lone Star Gas and was a member of Lane Prairie Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Juanita Miller.
Wayne Richardson is survived by his wife, Evelyn Richardson of Joshua; sons, Dwayne Richardson of Athens and Paul Richardson and wife, Melissa, of Grandview; daughter, Norita Jones and husband, Brent, of Joshua; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
