David Rixford, 59, of Alvarado, Texas, passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Rixford was born Oct. 5, 1954 in Hornell, New York, the son of Carolyn (Doorley) and Tom Rixford.
David married Pam Burke on Dec. 27, 1984. He served his country in the United States Army. David was an electrician in the oil and gas industry and was of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Rixford.
David is survived by his wife, Pam Rixford of Alvarado; step-father, Joe Ahearn of New York; sons, Larry Fikes and Thomas Rixford, both of Arlington, Texas and Michael Rixford of Alvarado; grandson, Dillon Fikes; brother, Marc Rixford and wife, Margie, of New York; sister-in-law, Kim Thomas and husband, Weldon; step-brothers, Joe Ahearn and wife, Lisa, David Ahearn and wife, Minako, and Steven Ahearn and wife, Valerie; nephews, Jim, Brandon and Chris; niece, Angela Jergler and husband, Scott, and their children, Emily, Rosie and Matthew Jergler; nephew, Kyle Rixford; and a host of other family and friends.
