Richard "Mike" Roden

Services for Richard Michael Roden, 67, of Joshua, TX will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, October 1, 2021 at Rosser Funeral Home with Mike Dacus officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. prior to the start of the service.
Mike passed away Monday September 27, 2021 in Fort Worth, TX surrounded by his family. He was born in Fort Worth on March 15, 1954 to Lorn and Joyce Roden. He married the love of his life, Kathy, on July 27, 1988. Mike was an amazing son, brother, husband, father and papa who loved his family and friends unconditionally. His grandkids were his pride and joy.
Mike volunteered with the Burleson Fire Department before joining the police academy. Mike served as a police officer for over 30 years before retiring from the City of Fort Worth Police Department. He worked with the Fort Worth Stock Show for over 20 years. He loved wood working, fishing and was a Master of the smoker. Mike never met a stranger and never let anyone he cared for go without.
He was preceeded in death by his father Lorn Roden, his Mother Joyce Roden, father in law, CA Dacus.
Mike Roden was survived by his wife Kathy Roden, mother in law; Patsy Dacus, his children; Brandon and Katrina Roden, Cody and Rhiannan Roden and Taylor Roden, his grandchildren; Daegan, Eli, Rylee, Cailyn and Corbin, his siblings; Debbie & Gary Melson, Ava Roden, Lisa Clark, and Roger Roden as well as many other family members and friends.
