A private graveside service will be conducted for Gene Eddie (Papa) Rosser on Monday, Aug. 9, 2021 at Rosehill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 p.m., Sun., Aug. 8, 2021 at Rosser Funeral Home.

Papa went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 6, 2021 at home with his family. He was born March 9, 1935 in Cleburne, Texas to Georgie Cassie (Jones) and Seby Harris Rosser. Papa married the love of his life Gearldene (Bill) Myers on Aug. 7, 1954 in Cleburne.

He was a Carman for Union Pacific Railroad where he retired.

Papa loved his family. He enjoyed all sports, especially golf. He also, loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bill Rosser on Dec. 2, 2003; brothers, James and Melvin Rosser; and sisters, Rena Hudzietz and Thelma McClure.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Curtis and husband, Mike, of Cleburne; sons, Monty Rosser and wife, Kim, Stacy Rosser and wife, Chelly, Perry Rosser and wife, Mindi, and Scott Rosser all of Cleburne, Lance Rosser and wife, Deanna, of Midlothian; grandchildren, Blake Curtis, Matt Rosser and wife, Bobbi Jo, Tim Rosser and wife, Chelsie, Seth Rosser and wife, Brittney, Chelsey Rosser, Autumn Olingy and husband, Matt, Chance Rosser and wife, Ashley, Tyler Rosser, Carson Rosser, Sarah Hofacer and husband, Miles, Katy Rosser, and Jordan Rosser; sister, Velda Maupin of Granbury; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Cason, Kaylie Jo, Brock, Delaney, Brailyn, Riley, Grayson, Mac, Grayson, and Owen; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends that will miss him so.
