Graveside services for Sharon Kathleen Smith, 83, of Grandview, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Odom Cemetery, 8321 CR 205, Grandview, Texas 76050. The Rev. Kenneth Coleman will officiate.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2026, at Rosser Funeral Home.

Sharon Smith passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, at her home. She was born in Galveston, Texas on January 23, 1943, the daughter of Dorothy (Laird) and Merton Stiles.

She married Jim Smith on March 19, 1965, in Oklahoma and was a retired rural carrier with the United States Postal Service. Sharon owned Chambers Creek Percherons, as well as Camelot Carriage Company, with Jim. They travelled all around Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas to show and promote the Percheron breed. She was also a master gardener, amazing cook, and always changed her brakes on her postal vehicles. There wasn’t anything that she couldn’t do when challenged.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jim Smith of Grandview; daughter, Holly McCullars and husband, Robert – her “favorite son-in-law”, also of Grandview.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sharon’s name to the Cancer Society.
