A memorial service for William Henry Sharratt, III, “Bill” 74, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, July 31, 2021. Pastor Eddie Scheler and Chaplain Don Anderson will officiate.
Bill passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones on July 24, 2021. He was born June 27, 1947 in Cape May, New Jersey to Dorothy (Cassaboon) and William Henry Sharratt, II. He married the former Roberta Kay Young Elford on July 6, 1985 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Bill was a former owner of Accent Awards of Arlington. During his earlier career he was Vice President of Non Foods for Whitson King and Marketing Specialists, both were food brokers. He was a hard worker and put everything he had into doing a good job. Bill was an avid golfer and loved to travel. He served as a past Exalted Ruler of the Cleburne Elks Lodge, No. 811 and was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Cleburne.
Bill loved his family and friends, loved his grandchildren, his dogs, and had a great sense of humor. He loved to entertain and play jokes! He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, brother and grandfather who loved people and never knew a stranger. Bill loved his wife and his life and lovingly supported her career, putting himself second. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 36 years, Roberta Sharratt of Cleburne; daughters, Teri Contant of Fort Worth and Stacey Romero and husband, Todd of Arvada, Colorado; grandchildren, Caden Catron, Benedict Contant, Abigayle Contant, and Michael Contant; sisters, Carol Brice and husband, Joe of Aurora, Colorado and Marylou Morris and husband, Michael of Azle; brothers, Donald Sharratt and wife, Misty of Godley and James Sharratt of Fort Worth; as well as several nieces and nephews and many dear and treasured friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
