Sidney Ann Birchfield

Funeral services for Sidney Ann Birchfield, 84, of Cleburne, Texas will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Westhill Church of Christ with Dr. Derek McNamara officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Rosser Funeral Home.

Sidney Birchfield passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in Rotan, Texas on December 9, 1940, the daughter of Mary Katherine (Owen) and Oscar Colquitt Gilbert.

Sidney married Earl “Wayne” Birchfield on October 24, 1964, in Cleburne. She had three children, Curtis, Angela, and Kevin. She was a church secretary at Central Church of Christ for several years prior to working at First State Bank of Rio Vista and was a member of the Westhill Church of Christ.

Sidney was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Birchfield of Cleburne; sons, Curtis Birchfield also of Cleburne and Kevin Birchfield and wife, Joanna, of Manhattan, New York; daughter, Angela Byrd and husband, Lance, of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandson, Walker Parks Byrd; sister, Sharon Feiman and husband, Alex, of Shermansdale, Pennsylvania; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sidney’s memory to The Bridge Benevolence Center, Westhill Church of Christ, 1100 W. Westhill Drive, Cleburne, TX 76033.
