Graveside services for Sidney Morris Ellis, 84, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Rosehill Cemetery with the Honorable Scott Cain officiating.

Sidney Morris Ellis passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 in Keene. He was born January 5, 1939 in Pecos, Texas to Gladys Marie (Oxford) and Vernon Parsons Ellis. He married Jerry Lynn Burd on December 3, 1965 in Godley, Texas.

Mr. Ellis owned Ellis Air Conditioning and Electrical in Cleburne, Texas. After retiring, he founded and taught the air conditioning program for Hill College. Sidney and his wife, Jerry also own and run Burds Flea Market. Sid was a member of Field Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Julie Burd Ellis; and one brother, Vernon Ray Ellis.

Survivors include his beloved wife of more than 57 years, Jerry Burd Ellis of Cleburne; son, Sidney Ellis, Jr. and wife, Robin, of Cleburne; grandchildren, Abigail Massey, Luke Ellis, Thomas Ellis, and Justin Hand; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Charles Ellis of Kingwood; sister, Sue Mullinax of Cisco; and a host of other relatives and friends.
