John Earnest Sikes, Jr., 69, of Joshua, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at his home. Services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Sikes was born in Meridian, Texas on December 15, 1942, the son of Lora (Wilson) and John Earnest Sikes.
He served his country in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Sikes was preceded in death by his parents; son, Shawn Sikes; brothers, Wilford Sikes and Windell Sikes; and sister, Annie Ballard.
He is survived by wife, Faye Sikes; sons, Allen Dale Sikes and wife, Deann, of Fort Worth, Texas; John Richard Sikes and wife, Misty, of Joshua, Texas, and William Davis Cook and wife, Gayla, of Hico, Texas; daughters, Desiree Humphries of Joshua and Melody Vick and husband, Tim, of Grandview, Texas; sister, Dora Sullins and husband, A.C., of Victoria, Texas; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
