June Darden Simpson
Graveside service for June Darden Simpson, 86, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015 at Rosehill Cemetery. There will not be a set visitation.
June passed away on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 in Granbury, Texas. She was born March 24, 1929 in Cleburne, Texas to Dorothy (Hughes) and Kenneth Darden. June married Jack Simpson on Sept. 6, 1946 in Cleburne, Texas. She was a homemaker, and a member of First United Methodist Church in Cleburne where she served on the Altar Guild. June was a member of the King’s Daughters for 50 years and a member of the Garden Club. She loved playing bridge, bunco, sewing, and traveling.
June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Simpson; and sister, Shirley Gardner.
She is survived by her son Ken Simpson of Glen Rose, Texas; daughter, Karen Wells and husband, John of Glen Rose, Texas; granddaughter, Lauren Simpson Kunce and husband, Austin of Belton, Texas; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Glen Rose Food Bank at P.O. Box 3114, Glen Rose, Texas 76043 or the charity of your choice.
