Services for Barbara F. Smith, 80, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 at Rosser Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park. The Rev. John Glover will officiate. There will not be a visitation.
Barbara passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 in Burleson, Texas. She was born Oct. 30, 1934 in Odessa, Texas to Irene (Turner) and Franklin Jowell. Barbara married Donald Smith in Cleburne, Texas on April 2, 1960. She was a retired dental receptionist and a member of Field Street Baptist Church.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Aubrey Jowell and Bill Jowell; and sisters, Nancy George, Betty Cox, and Iona Taylor.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Smith of Cleburne; children, Michael Jones and wife, Kathy, of Cleburne, Donna Larkins and husband, Pete, of Arlington, and Randy Smith and wife, Ellen, of Austin; grandchildren; Kimberly Jones, Patrick Jones, Turner Larkins, Brian Smith, and Derek Smith; and sisters, Charlyn Whiteside and husband, Chuck, of Cleburne, Clara Lewis of Crockett.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Texas at 301 Medpark Circle, Burleson, Texas 76028.
