Micaela Solis, daughter of Maria Elena Diaz and Ignacio Solis was born December 1, 1958 in

Fabens, Texas. Mica was 3 months old when her father passed, and her mother remarried to

Meliton Diaz a couple years later. Meliton stepped in as the head of household, and assisted in

Mica’s upbringing. At the age of 20 she gave birth to two children, and soon thereafter moved to

Muleshoe, Texas and became a vegetable field contractor. Between the ages of 23 to 30 years

of age she managed groups of farm workers that planted onions and sugar beats. Mica’s role

was soon to change with her mother becoming unstable due to complications with her health,

and Mica stepped in to become the primary caregiver to her mother and her siblings.

In 1998 after her mother Maria Elena passed, Mica moved to Cleburne, Texas to follow her

daughter who had moved there in 1996. While living in Cleburne Mica worked a variety of jobs,

and gave her all in raising her grandson, Edgar Solis.

Mica was committed to loving her friends and family through her servant heart. Mica blessed

everyone with her food, salsa, and always amazing banana pudding. It brought her joy when

family and friends gathered, and were able to enjoy her food. Memories of her serving spirit and

sense of humor will be remembered forever. Mica connected with people through her love and

food, and as a result she was loved by many. Her health began to regress significantly in

December of 2021. Mica peacefully departed this life Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Community

Hospice in Ft. Worth, Texas. She will forever be remembered and missed as a mother,

   grandmother, sister, and daughter.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of the following: Daughter, Manuela Solis.

Grandchildren: Edgar Manuel Solis, Enrique Meliton Solis, Juan Manuel Solis, and Bryanna

Mercedes Solis. Great grandchildren: John Wyatt Solis, Leo Augustus Solis, Emma Jay Solis,

and Saige Everly Solis. Siblings: Manuel Diaz, Martha Ibarra, Francisco Diaz, Mario Diaz,
