Sue Hampton Schmeling, 71, of Joshua, Texas passed away peacefully Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Huguley Hospital after a long battle with COPD. There are no services planned at this time.

Sue Schmeling was born on July 6, 1950 in Fort Worth, the daughter of Dorothy Ellen (Burns) and Harold Benton Hampton.

Sue was named the first Miss Crowley High School and was known for her sense of humor and love of animals. She was a homemaker.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ted Schmeling and her three beloved cats; and sisters, Jerri Clowdus and Jane Ann Skinner.
