Charles Ray “Charley” Thomas Sr., 84, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Charley was born in Waco, Texas on March 26, 1936, the son of C. J. and Norma Lillian Holcomb Thomas.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances “Fran” Thomas in 2015; son, Duane Thomas; one sister; and one brother.
Charley is survived by his five children, Dee Thomas Kerr, Bruce Shelby and wife, Tamara, Ann Yerrick and husband, Mark, Charles R. Thomas, Jr., and wife, Helen, and Brian Shelby, and wife, Tracie; 15 grandchildren; five great grandsons and seven great-granddaughters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
