Hoye Dee Tibbets
A memorial service for Hoye Dee Tibbets, 73, of Granbury, Texas will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Randy McLelland will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be the class of 65-1W Fort Wolters.
A private burial will be held at DFW National Cemetery.
Mr. Tibbets passed away on Monday, March 26, 2012 at his home. He was born in Morton, Texas on November 28, 1938 to Orban Lee Tibbets and Winona Ruth Speck.
Mr. Tibbets was a Vietnam veteran and for his service to his country in the U.S. Army, he was awarded the Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross with bronze oak leaf cluster, and numerous other awards and commendations.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy Tibbets; and one grandson.
Mr. Tibbets is survived by his wife, Linda Tibbets; sons, Scott Tibbets and wife Alicia, Kenneth Tanner and wife Marcy; Daughters, Torrie Levine, Lisa Botha and Husband Colin; sister, Patsy Rogers and husband Laverne; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Memorial can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 8111 Lyndon B Johnson Freeway, Suit # 425 Dallas, TX 75251.
