Funeral services for Tommie Lee Tidwell, 88, of Burleson, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Chapel with Elder Larry Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne.
Mrs. Tidwell passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012 in Alvarado, Texas. She was born in Avinger, Texas on April 25, 1924, the daughter of Nona Ray (Dorgan) and William Cornelius Nichols. Tommie and Lelon David Tidwell married on February 14, 1946.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and six brothers.
Mrs. Tidwell is survived by her husband, Lelon David Tidwell of Keene; sons Darwin and Allan Tidwell, both of Burleson; daughter, Sharon Hadley of Godley; brother, Carl Nichols of Golden, Texas; sisters, Mozelle Hayes of Lubbock, Carolyn Williams of Emory, Texas, Jo Black of Hughes Springs, Texas and Lyvonne Hightower of Quitman, Texas; and five grandchildren.
