Trevor Allen Gifford, 22, born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 23, 2004, unfortunately lost his life on Sunday, September 20th 2026. He was 11 weeks short of stepping foot on the yellow footprints at MCRD San Diego to become a United States Marine. Trevor would have been a 2nd generation Marine with dreams of making a career out of his military service. He dreamed big and loved hard, but he loved no one more than he loved his siblings. A little brother to only 1 and a big brother to 6. If you were to ask any of his siblings: "Who are you calling when you need..." "TREVOR!" is the only answer you would get from them.
Trevor aka Bubba was an avid gamer. It wasn't uncommon to find Trevor engulfed in a game with his community. A community of fellow gamers from all over the world who would come together in one silly discord server called Bubba's Hangout, people of every age and every walk of life. Trevor's love and reach had no limits. Trevor's ability to care for those around him was something all of us should take note of. He made sure you felt his love. A true master at making you feel special and loved whether you had known him your whole life or just met him in a game chat on a random Thursday morning at 3am. Though Trevor may have been young, he never knew a stranger, he found a way to connect with anyone. Always making sure everyone around him was happy and would stop at nothing to make people smile. Quick wit came naturally to him, his little devious side would make you belly laugh and it wasn't abnormal for him to be a bit of a "menace" from time to time.
Music was Trevor's outlet, his peace, and how he expressed himself whether it was coming from his guitar or his vast playlist. He also loved sharing his love for music in any way he could. From teaching his siblings and friends how to play guitar, to having long talks about different songs and artists with them, and even supporting the music dreams of others, music was part of his way of connecting with the world.
Trevor is preceded in death by his Great Grandpa's; John Haptonstall and Nels Mikkelson, Grandma's; Belinda Haptonstall and Leba Fleshman, Grandpa; Richard Fleshman, Great Uncle; Pete Mikkelson, Uncle; Ricky Cole, Cousins; Matthew Doherty and Steven Mattson.
He is survived by his parents Laura Ziemba and Patrick Gifford, Step Parents Bryan McGavis and Amanda Gifford, Siblings Tessa Gifford, LeeAnn Brown, Nick Bowen, Scotty Brown, Colton Brown, Jackson Hein and Mateo McGavis.
Please stop drinking and driving, please.
