Grandview—Funeral services for Norma Tyer, 85, of Grandview, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2011 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian McClure officiating.
Interment will be held at 3 p.m. that day at the Concord Baptist Cemetery in Iola, Texas.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tyer passed away on Monday, August 1, 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in Houston, Texas on March 24, 1926, the daughter of Ida (Carnes) and Arthur Callaway.
Norma was a homemaker. She was the organist of her church, Friendship Baptist.
Mrs. Tyer was preceded in death by parents; husband, Willie Lavelle Tyer; and brother, W. A. Callaway.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Tyer and wife, Vickie, of Grandview and Bob Tyer and wife, Debbie, of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, James E. Tyer, Stacey C. Tyer, Cindy S. Tyer, Michael W. Tyer, and Amanda R. Tyer; great grandchildren, Brandon Tyer, Meka Tyer, and Travis Arnold.
