Charles Mac "Charlie" Walker
Graveside services for Charlie Walker, 74, of Covington, Texas will be conducted at 10: 15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
There is no visitation planned.
Mr. Walker passed away Monday, Oct. 6, 2014 at his home. He was born in Brady, Texas on Jan. 24, 1940, the son of Lou Stella (MacDonald) and Robert Lee Walker.
Charlie married Margaret “Peggy” Dousay on June 19, 1999 in Covington, Texas.
He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Cleburne American Legion Post 50 and also Sons of the American Legion in Rio Vista, Texas.
Charlie loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He shot both left handed and right handed pool and enjoyed working on his “ranchette”
Charlie was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Roberta McMillan.
Charlie Walker is survived by his wife, Margaret “Peggy” Walker of Covington; son, Robert Lee Walker and wife, Yvette, of Garland and daughter, LuAnne Walker Leonard and husband, Brent, of Cleburne; step-children, Sonny Tyler and wife, Renee, of Keene, Texas, Steve Tyler of North Richland Hills, Texas, Cyndi Tyler Bigner of Anchorage, Alaska and Ann Rice and husband, Rodney, of Boerne, Texas; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members and many friends.
