Funeral services for Virgil Ward, 77, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mr. Ward passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013 at his home. He was born in Graham, Texas on June 22, 1936, the son of Thelma (Watson) and Hoke Smith Ward.
Virgil was retired from Johnson County where he was a public works supervisor for the Johnson County Courthouse. Anyone who knew Virgil knew that he was an avid fan of Cleburne High School athletics!
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Mary Beth Ward on Dec. 4, 2013.
Virgil Ward is survived by his daughters, Joy Beth Ward and husband, Steve, of Joshua, Texas and Elizabeth Ward of Lillian, Texas; grandchildren, Justin Brill and wife, Trina, Courtney Brill Frazer and husband, Gaelan, Michael Trichel, Brandon Nance and Jacob Nance; and nine great-grandchildren.
